About ThaiHabit

A connected way to practise Thai

ThaiHabit is built by Julian Schubert for adult self-directed learners who want script, tones, useful language, practice, and review to support one another.

The learning loop

ThaiHabit treats hearing, reading, remembering, and using Thai as connected skills. The goal is a clear next practice step, not a catalogue of disconnected tools.

  1. Hear and understand useful Thai in context.
  2. Read the patterns, introducing script, tones, and vowel length progressively.
  3. Connect script, meaning, pronunciation, reference audio, and timely review.
  4. Use the material through focused listening, recall, typing, writing, and speaking practice.
  5. Return to due review or the next suitable learning action.

What evidence means

Activity, accuracy, and learning evidence are different signals. Completing an activity can show practice; it does not by itself prove fluency or mastery. Review recommendations should prioritize due material and evidence-backed difficulties rather than turn every due item into a weakness claim.

Pronunciation and speech tools provide practice signals, not linguistic certification. Thai wording, romanization, meaning, register, and pronunciation are described as native-reviewed only when that review is recorded for the exact content.

How learning content is checked

English explanations are checked against maintained curriculum and product contracts. Automated checks can prove structure, source freshness, link validity, and translation invariants. They cannot replace a qualified Thai-language review.

Public guides avoid unreviewed Thai examples. When a future guide includes Thai text, its source and review state travel with the document, and translations must preserve the reviewed Thai exactly unless a new review approves a change.

Corrections are part of the method

Language-learning material should make uncertainty visible. If a wording, explanation, link, or product statement looks wrong, readers can send a correction with the page and passage. The report is reviewed against the owning source before the public copy changes.
